Participants start proofing their business models. Each MBA course is applied to
develop and validate a specific component of the business model.
Business models are ultimately challenged and validated in the mid-term
week of intensive study: weaknesses are fixed, strengths are optimized and
the way forward the business model paved. At the end of the class period,
participants take part to a Business Model Competition to show their work
to investors and business partners.
Participants embark on an going business planning lab to work on their the
business plan and develop personal skills.
During the final intensive week of the study, each participant refines his/
her business plan with mentors and lecturers and develop a well-structured
presentation for investors. Participants will finally present their work to a panel of
international investors and partners in the Business Plan Competition.

Starting off
In the opening week of intensive study, each participant, guided by international
lecturers and mentors, scrutinizes his/her business idea. Participants are
aided in identifying the idea’s strengths and weaknesses and then structure
out a business model, using the Canvas template: this work provides the
base upon which day-to-day improvement is undertaken.
As part of the application process, candidates are asked to participate to a
Business Idea Competition to present the business idea they intend to develop
throughout the course of the Program.

The Executive MBA in Impact Entrepreneurship is structured as a “training camp” where each course directly responds to a concrete need
that arises while implementing a start-up or scale-up strategy.The MBA courses are divided into two main categories:
• Business Courses: aimed at developing, testing and validating the business model and at acquiring specific managerial knowledge. Business
Courses entail both business assignments and traditional examinations.
• Business Labs: aimed at providing hands-on business management and development experience, at acquiring personal business skills,

FINAL ASSESSMENT AND QUALIFICATION
The course includes discussion and final presentation of the business plan which will be assessed by an examination board.
Attendance is compulsory and it is a condition for obtaining the University’s Master’s Degree. The minimum attendance required in order to
receive the Degree is 90% of scheduled teaching hours. All those who complete the course and passes required examinations are awarded
the Master’s degree in “Impact Entrepreneurship” by UniversitàCattolicadelSacroCuore (Milan), Italy.

2.2. THE BUSINESS COACH
A key part of the E4impact MBA is the work each participant
does with the Business Coach, a dedicated business consultant, who
provides individual support in refining the Business Idea, developing
the Business Model and then the Business Plan. The Coach supports
each participant in implementing the Business Plan and developing
relationships with Business Mentors, partners, suppliers and customers
Furthermore he/she offers the financial oversight and rigor to assure
the creation of an economically sustainable business.
2.3. E4IMPACT MBA TRAINING FORMULA
The Executive MBA in Impact Entrepreneurship comprises of a
unique and flexible blend of class lessons, distance learning and
coaching to help MBA participants to apply what they learn to their
business while keep on doing business and work.
The E4impact MBA is structured as follows:
? Four (4) lntensive days of full time classroom and networking
sessions called Boot Camps;
? Fourteen (14) Long Weekends of fulltime classroom;
? Eight (8) Distance Learning Sessions.
THE TRAINING METHODS FOR MBA COURSES CONSIST OF:
? Class room training by lecturers from ALTIS-Università Cattolica
del SacroCuore of Milan, Italy, delivered electronically
? Integrated courses taught partly online and in the classroom
by lecturers from all partner institutions. The Distance Learning
portion of integrated courses is made available on Università-
Cattolica’s e-learning platform.
FIELD ACTION ON YOUR BUSINESS
Throughout the course, work customized field assignment are designed
for each participant, where they test real life feasibility, profitability
and impact of their business. Examples of these assignments are
in depth market analysis, customer focus groups, an internship
with a mentor, or research for and dialogue with potential financial
partners.

2.2. E4impact MBA Relations with the Business
Community
Throughout the program, MBA participants work with, and are ex-
posed to the business community. This allows participants to de-
velop their business ideas based on experts’ suggestions and to
createtrustful relationships.
Business Idea Competition
Before the Initial Boot Camp, all MBA candidates participate in the
Business Idea Competition where they present their business ideas
to a panel of business community members who judge the eco-
nomic viability and social-environmental impact. This is the occasion
for participants to start creating trustful relationships.
Business Model Competition
At the end of the Middle Boot Camp, MBA participants take part in
the Business Model Competition, where they present their business
models to a panel of business community members in order to show
them improvements on the initial business idea.
Business Plan Competition
At the end of the Final Boot Camp, MBA participants refine a full-
fledged business plan and prepare a pitch for investors. They present
their pitch to a panel of local and international investors and busi-
ness community members with the aim to get feedback on invest-
mentand scaling opportunities.
2.5. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MBA
Business Coach
Each participant of the MBA is accompanied by a Business Coach,
a full time consultant who supports him/her in developing their business
npla and in establishing relationships with mentors, partners, suppliers,
customers and investors.

and in drafting an investor ready business plan.

3. ADMISSION
3.1. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must be strongly oriented to being an entrepreneur.
Specifically, prospective applicants must have:
? Feasible business idea (start-up or existing, profit or non-profit)
with strong social/environmental impact.
? A three-year University degree.
? English Proficiency.
? Computer and internet literacy.
? Regular access to IT and Internet resources.
Candidates with GMAT or GRE test, CAT, XAT, MAT would receive
addedconsideration in the selection process.
Candidates with no Bachelor Degree but extensive businesse
xperience and a strong business idea, may be admitted to theMBA
under exceptional circumstance. In such a case, theparticipant will
notbe awarded the Degree, but a certificate ofattendance that under no
circumstance will it be considered an academic degree.
3.2. MBA FEES AND SCHOLARSHIP POLICY
The campus fee for the MBA is Rs. 3,00,000/- plus 12.36% Service tax.
The scholarship policy:
The one who gets the first rank for the Business model competition
will get 50% of fees as scholarship. The one who gets the second
rank rank for the Business model competition will get 25% of fees
as scholarship.

Steps for the Application Process
All candidates who wish to apply for the MBA must follow a two-
step processes:
? Selection phase, aimed at identifying and evaluating eligible
candidates
? Administrative admission process, aimed at completing the
administrative.
PROCEDURE
Step 1- Selection phase
Applicants are required to produce the following documents:
a) Application Form (to be completed on-line athttp://www.unicatt.it/immatricolazioni/master and in hard
copies to Marian Institute of Entrepreneurship).
b) Curriculum vitae
c) Business idea (2-3 pages) describing the characteristics of a
new business or thedevelopment of an existing one. Business
summaries should include:
? Business idea or concept; Social mission;
? Target customers; Target market and size;
? Competitors and barriers to overcome; Competitive advantage;
? Estimated social/environmental/economic impact and;
? Essay entitled: Why my personal profile suits my business project.
d) Letter of reference (minimum 1) either academic or professional.
e) GMAT or GRE, CAT, XAT, MAT certificate (not mandatory).
f) Copy of Transcript of grades and Bachelor Degree Certificate.

Qualified candidates will be contacted for an interview and, once
accepted, will be asked to send a written statement confirming their
candidacy and pay 50% of the fees.
The second installment to be paid on 9th January 2016.
Step 2-Administrative Admission process
Successful applicants will also be required to complete the
second step of theapplication process. Selected Applicants will be
required to submit the followingdocuments:
a) Official matriculation request (downloadable athttp://www.

b) Two passport-size photos;
c) Copy of passport or Voter’s ID or National Identity Card;
d) “Dichiarazione di Valore”**.
** “Dichiarazione di Valore” is a certificate issued by the Italian
Embassies (or Consulates) that authenticates a foreign degree
certificate. To obtain the “Dichiarazione di Valore” the applicant
must apply to the Italian Embassy (or Consulate) of the country
/ region where the applicant completed his / her university studies
and provide them with a notarized translation of the diploma in
the Italian language.
In some countries, obtaining the “Dichiarazione di Valore” may
take up to two months or longer.
The UniversitàCattolica’s Master’s Division can assist the
applicants in their effort to obtain the “Dichiarazione di Valore”.

Executive director & Founder of NUCAFE
During the MBA Joseph developed a business plan for the establishment
of a farmer-owned coffee-processing factory and for the implementation
of Farmer Ownership Model. He received grants from different
donors which supported the continuous growth of his business. After
the MBA, Joseph increased both the membership base (from 120
to 155 associations) and the volume of coffee marketed (from 630
MT in 2007 to 759 MT in 2011). In 2013, Joseph was nominated
Ashoka Fellow and Africa Agricultural Role Model. NUCAFE was
nominated best Africa farmer organization in income diversity category
(awarded by AGRA). He contributes to the development of a National
Coffee Policy and is deeply involved in improving gender relations
among coffee farming households.

MBA 2013/14 - Nairobi, Kenya
Chief Operation Officer & Founder of M-Farm
AS Chief Operation Officer & Founder of M-Farm Ltd, during the MBA
Susan developed a business plan to scale her activity in 3 Kenyan
counties.
She also received a grant funding of 120,000 USD from major
organizations such as Safaricom and USAID among others.
M-Farm now serves 15,000 small holder farmers who have doubled
their revenues thanks to the direct link to the market. Four times
as many workers are now employed, both on farms and within the
organisation.
Susan Oguya was named by Forbes magazine as part of the 20
Youngest Power Women of Africa 2014.

MBA 2013/14 - Accra, Ghana
Chief Executive Officer of Emigoh Ghana Ltd.
As Stephen enrolled for the MBA, he already was Chief Executive
Officer of Emigoh Ghana Ltd. During the MBA, Stephen developed
a business plan to enhance production capacity. He identified major
bottle necks in the operations process and implemented specific
improvements. Emigoh Ghana increased its customer base by 15%,
revenues by 10% and number of employee by 10%. Stephen developed
a network of 3000 retailers in the Greater Accra Region and scaled
the business to Kumasi (Asante region) and Takoradi (western
region). Stephen is now focused on further development and has
therefore developed a compact business plan for investment
attraction.

MBA 2013/14 - Accra, Ghana
Founder of Starr Radio 103.5
Bola started the MBA with a business idea which referred to an
existing entertainment company. While attending the MBA he was
challenged to get outside the comfort zone and he developed the
idea of Starr FM. During the MBA he established a strategic partnership
with UniBank to create Starr Radio and went on-air for the first
time in August, 2014. Within 3 months of operations, Starr Radio
secured major events (Hennessy Artistry, MTN Hit Maker and Alvin
Slaughter’s “Thanks Giving”); gathering plenty of advertisement,
hosts and stars. Furthermore, Starr Radio website was ranked in
Ghana from 300,000 to 43 in just three months (over 6% of its
visitors are from US and UK), being one of the fastest growing
websites in Ghana.

Participants start proofing their business models. Each MBA course is applied to
develop and validate a specific component of the business model.
Business models are ultimately challenged and validated in the mid-term
week of intensive study: weaknesses are fixed, strengths are optimized and
the way forward the business model paved. At the end of the class period,
participants take part to a Business Model Competition to show their work
to investors and business partners.
Participants embark on an going business planning lab to work on their the
business plan and develop personal skills.
During the final intensive week of the study, each participant refines his/
her business plan with mentors and lecturers and develop a well-structured
presentation for investors. Participants will finally present their work to a panel of
international investors and partners in the Business Plan Competition.

Starting off
In the opening week of intensive study, each participant, guided by international
lecturers and mentors, scrutinizes his/her business idea. Participants are
aided in identifying the idea’s strengths and weaknesses and then structure
out a business model, using the Canvas template: this work provides the
base upon which day-to-day improvement is undertaken.
As part of the application process, candidates are asked to participate to a
Business Idea Competition to present the business idea they intend to develop
throughout the course of the Program.

FINAL ASSESSMENT AND QUALIFICATION
The course includes discussion and final presentation of the business plan which will be assessed by an examination board.
Attendance is compulsory and it is a condition for obtaining the University’s Master’s Degree. The minimum attendance required in order to
receive the Degree is 90% of scheduled teaching hours. All those who complete the course and passes required examinations are awarded
the Master’s degree in “Impact Entrepreneurship” by UniversitàCattolicadelSacroCuore (Milan), Italy.

2.2. THE BUSINESS COACH
A key part of the E4impact MBA is the work each participant
does with the Business Coach, a dedicated business consultant, who
provides individual support in refining the Business Idea, developing
the Business Model and then the Business Plan. The Coach supports
each participant in implementing the Business Plan and developing
relationships with Business Mentors, partners, suppliers and customers
Furthermore he/she offers the financial oversight and rigor to assure
the creation of an economically sustainable business.
2.3. E4IMPACT MBA TRAINING FORMULA
The Executive MBA in Impact Entrepreneurship comprises of a
unique and flexible blend of class lessons, distance learning and
coaching to help MBA participants to apply what they learn to their
business while keep on doing business and work.
The E4impact MBA is structured as follows:
? Four (4) lntensive days of full time classroom and networking
sessions called Boot Camps;
? Fourteen (14) Long Weekends of fulltime classroom;
? Eight (8) Distance Learning Sessions.
THE TRAINING METHODS FOR MBA COURSES CONSIST OF:

? Integrated courses taught partly online and in the classroom
by lecturers from all partner institutions. The Distance Learning
portion of integrated courses is made available on Università-

FIELD ACTION ON YOUR BUSINESS
Throughout the course, work customized field assignment are designed
for each participant, where they test real life feasibility, profitability
and impact of their business. Examples of these assignments are
in depth market analysis, customer focus groups, an internship
with a mentor, or research for and dialogue with potential financial
partners.

2.2. E4impact MBA Relations with the Business
Community
Throughout the program, MBA participants work with, and are ex-
posed to the business community. This allows participants to de-
velop their business ideas based on experts’ suggestions and to
createtrustful relationships.
Business Idea Competition
Before the Initial Boot Camp, all MBA candidates participate in the
Business Idea Competition where they present their business ideas
to a panel of business community members who judge the eco-
nomic viability and social-environmental impact. This is the occasion
for participants to start creating trustful relationships.
Business Model Competition
At the end of the Middle Boot Camp, MBA participants take part in
the Business Model Competition, where they present their business
models to a panel of business community members in order to show
them improvements on the initial business idea.
Business Plan Competition
At the end of the Final Boot Camp, MBA participants refine a full-
fledged business plan and prepare a pitch for investors. They present
their pitch to a panel of local and international investors and busi-
ness community members with the aim to get feedback on invest-
mentand scaling opportunities.

Each participant of the MBA is accompanied by a Business Coach,
a full time consultant who supports him/her in developing their business

3. ADMISSION
3.1. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must be strongly oriented to being an entrepreneur.
Specifically, prospective applicants must have:
? Feasible business idea (start-up or existing, profit or non-profit)
with strong social/environmental impact.
? A three-year University degree.
? English Proficiency.
? Computer and internet literacy.
? Regular access to IT and Internet resources.
Candidates with GMAT or GRE test, CAT, XAT, MAT would receive
addedconsideration in the selection process.
Candidates with no Bachelor Degree but extensive businesse
xperience and a strong business idea, may be admitted to theMBA
under exceptional circumstance. In such a case, theparticipant will
notbe awarded the Degree, but a certificate ofattendance that under no
circumstance will it be considered an academic degree.
3.2. MBA FEES AND SCHOLARSHIP POLICY
The campus fee for the MBA is Rs. 3,00,000/- plus 12.36% Service tax.
The scholarship policy:
The one who gets the first rank for the Business model competition
will get 50% of fees as scholarship. The one who gets the second

c) Business idea (2-3 pages) describing the characteristics of a
new business or thedevelopment of an existing one. Business
summaries should include:

? Essay entitled: Why my personal profile suits my business project.

** “Dichiarazione di Valore” is a certificate issued by the Italian

must apply to the Italian Embassy (or Consulate) of the country
/ region where the applicant completed his / her university studies
and provide them with a notarized translation of the diploma in
the Italian language.
In some countries, obtaining the “Dichiarazione di Valore” may
take up to two months or longer.
The UniversitàCattolica’s Master’s Division can assist the
applicants in their effort to obtain the “Dichiarazione di Valore”.

Executive director & Founder of NUCAFE
During the MBA Joseph developed a business plan for the establishment
of a farmer-owned coffee-processing factory and for the implementation
of Farmer Ownership Model. He received grants from different
donors which supported the continuous growth of his business. After
the MBA, Joseph increased both the membership base (from 120
to 155 associations) and the volume of coffee marketed (from 630
MT in 2007 to 759 MT in 2011). In 2013, Joseph was nominated
Ashoka Fellow and Africa Agricultural Role Model. NUCAFE was
nominated best Africa farmer organization in income diversity category
(awarded by AGRA). He contributes to the development of a National
Coffee Policy and is deeply involved in improving gender relations
among coffee farming households.

Chief Operation Officer & Founder of M-Farm
AS Chief Operation Officer & Founder of M-Farm Ltd, during the MBA
Susan developed a business plan to scale her activity in 3 Kenyan
counties.
She also received a grant funding of 120,000 USD from major
organizations such as Safaricom and USAID among others.
M-Farm now serves 15,000 small holder farmers who have doubled
their revenues thanks to the direct link to the market. Four times
as many workers are now employed, both on farms and within the
organisation.
Susan Oguya was named by Forbes magazine as part of the 20
Youngest Power Women of Africa 2014.

MBA 2013/14 - Accra, Ghana
Chief Executive Officer of Emigoh Ghana Ltd.
As Stephen enrolled for the MBA, he already was Chief Executive
Officer of Emigoh Ghana Ltd. During the MBA, Stephen developed
a business plan to enhance production capacity. He identified major
bottle necks in the operations process and implemented specific
improvements. Emigoh Ghana increased its customer base by 15%,
revenues by 10% and number of employee by 10%. Stephen developed
a network of 3000 retailers in the Greater Accra Region and scaled
the business to Kumasi (Asante region) and Takoradi (western
region). Stephen is now focused on further development and has
therefore developed a compact business plan for investment
attraction.
Bola Ray
MBA 2013/14 - Accra, Ghana
Founder of Starr Radio 103.5
Bola started the MBA with a business idea which referred to an
existing entertainment company. While attending the MBA he was
challenged to get outside the comfort zone and he developed the
idea of Starr FM. During the MBA he established a strategic partnership
with UniBank to create Starr Radio and went on-air for the first
time in August, 2014. Within 3 months of operations, Starr Radio
secured major events (Hennessy Artistry, MTN Hit Maker and Alvin
Slaughter’s “Thanks Giving”); gathering plenty of advertisement,
hosts and stars. Furthermore, Starr Radio website was ranked in
Ghana from 300,000 to 43 in just three months (over 6% of its
visitors are from US and UK), being one of the fastest growing
websites in Ghana.
