days?

There is a lot of talk these days about .. say ..tamils, and marathi manus, and also northerners ,southereners, and various asmita's like gujarati asmita etc etc. but where is poor indian hiding these days to speak about it above all those quoted ? any suggestions from inquisitve MBA aspirant...
