It totally depends on your caliber. Some people are able to score on their own, while others require specialized help from coaching institutes. TIME, IMS, etc. give coaching for GMAT as well.

It is definitely good and worth trying. However, I would generally prefer to solve the material given by coaching institutes since that is prepared from the latest trends of the exam papers and hence, gives you many more varied types.

Cooaching institute doesn't matter much.... its all the individual's hard work that gets him to IIMs. There are people who don't go in for coaching, and yet make it to IIMs. TIME, IMS, CL, etc. all are good. However, you may consult some of your friends regarding a particular institute in a...
