In the telecom sector I'm looking forward to the rise of the Android open source OS for mobile devices. I can envision many jobs created around this new technology.

Thanks for all the good info. Sometimes I find my workplace to be a cross between the Dilbert cartoon strip and the Office TV show. Somehow work does get done, though, in spite of the office politics.
