no...dats not true ads can't make people buy something which is not worth the price...its the world of consumerism...

Its is not true in today's context. the awareness among the customers is much greater than what it was earlier. hence fooling them with just an advertisement is not possible. the most they can do is over-emphasise, but ads can never be a tool to dupe the customers by lying...
