Hell, my sister has just scored better grades than me and I just got infuriated in public. Only one question that hinder in my mind is that why girls score better grades than boys? Here is the reason which provide better picture and shed better light on the issue. A new study by the OECD, a club of mostly rich countries, examined how 15-year-old boys and girls performed at reading, mathematics and science. Boys still score somewhat better at maths, and in science the genders are roughly equal. But when it comes to the students who really struggle, the difference is stark: boys are 50% more likely than girls to fall short of basic standards in all three areas.

Why are girls performing better at school than their male classmates?

1) Girls read more than boys

Yeah you heard it right girls are the bookworm they intrigue their minds completely in books. Well, boys literally don’t crave books they indulge their mind in numerous activities like gaming, sports and other extracurricular activity.

2) Girls spend more time on homework

On average, girls spend five and half hours per week doing homework while boys lost their half of the time in virtual world. Researchers suggest that doing homework set by teachers is linked to better performance in maths, reading and science. Boys, it appears, spend more of than 17% in playing collaborative online games than girls every day, boys spend only four and a half hours on their homework.

3) Girls do their work sincerely and with complete focus

Girls have high concentration spirit and their zest to complete the project on time. If they have decided to complete a particular project on a particular time then make sure that it happens on time; whereas boys don’t plan any such things they get flummoxed by such activities.

Girls Score better grades because of their concentration, hardwork and dedication. So stop getting jealous boys, just work hard to catch up with their speed.
