Privatization is good or bad?
It is very bad, Company after privatization only think about their Profit and Increase the rate, so Privatization of the Government should be not done. :SugarwareZ-188:
 
I do not agree that privatization is bad. Seeing the loss making nature of the Public sector companies I would prefer to go to privatization or disinvestment. Sooner of later we have to realize that we are not only competing in India, we are actually competing at the world level. The prices of the final product should be as low as possible , the efficiency increases. The government should make sure that companies privatized should not exploit the human and natural resources after an extent.
 
I agree with Paramjeet. Pvt market factors can deliver many goods or service more efficiently than the government due to free market competition. Over time this will lead to Lower prices, improved quality, less corruption, more choices and quicker delivery.
 
Privatization is good and has benefited everyone involved in it wherever and whenever it is tried. privatization is when a seller and a buying deal directly with each other without any middle men taking any money or goods or setting any rules. Examples of middle men include governments, agents, religious leaders, or community organizers in general.
 
It's such a primitive, childlike question. There are so many good cases and bad cases found of privatization around the globe. This discussion is so useless.
 
AS FOR ME, ANYTHING IS NEITHER GOOD, NOR BAD, THE COIN HAS TWO SIDES TO IT,
IN TH REAL WORLD , NOTHING IS BLACK OR WHITE ENTIRELY, MOST OF THE THINGS ARE GENERALLY GREY.
IF WE TAKE THE CASE OF PRIVATISATION ASK AN EMPLOYEE WHO LOOSES HIS JOB DUE TO PRIVATISATION , HE WOULD BE ALL AGAINST PRIVATISATION, BUT THE SAME EMPLOYEE IF HE IS GIVEN A BETTER SALARY STRUCTURE BY THE SAME PRIVATE COMPANY , HE WOULD START LIKING THE PRIVATE COMPANY.
SO YES GETTING ON WITH THE DISCUSSION, PRIVATISATION ENTIRELY IS BAD AS IT CREATES A MONOPOLY AND IRREGULAR PRICE REGIME, BUT AGAIN FULL PUBLIC SECTOR IS ALL ABOUT MISUSE OF MANPOWER, LACK OF PRODUCTIVITY, CORRUPTION( RELATIVELY MORE)..
SO THE NEED OF THE HOUR IS PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP MAY BE LIKE THE DELHI METRO:SugarwareZ-062:
 
I would support privatization but with a certain limit.
It will reduce the overload of government.Moreover, the working of private companies is 100times better then government ones and thus would contribute to national GDP..
However, for things like railway,buses semi privatization is good because in private sector they wont care for normal people as their main aim is to get profits, then it will be burden for normal middle class and poor people...
 
privatisation help people to get a better service but also loots people by charging more but if we come across the service we get in govt offices, then we would like to have privatisation
 
Its a tricky yet simple question.
Yes,some sectors do need privatizatio as it increases competition which leads to better quality,pricing,efficiency amongst other things.
But,the recent developments including Monorail,Metro requires PPP model,Public-Private partnership.
Also,sectors like coal,Oil&Gas,etc,needs privatization but with regulation.
