In the last few years, education in India has gone to a boom. More and more B-schools are emerging in India that offers various kinds of programmes for students. Executive MBA programme has also got a favorable response from students in India. There are various colleges in India that offer executive MBA courses in full time, part time, distanced learning and online study modes.

Managers and executives in various companies in India who have a work experience of around three to five years but do not have an MBA degree opt for an executive MBA programme.

Many top B schools in India are offering executive MBA courses. These include IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, XLRI Jamshedpur, FMS (Faculty of Management Studies) University of Delhi, IIM Kolkata, Indian School of Business (ISB) Hyderabad, IMT Ghaziabad, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management studies (JBIMS), S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Welingkar Institute of Management, K. J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, IIM Indoreetc.

These programmes are specially designed to give knowledge as per global requirements and students can explore themselves as per international standards.

These B schools include top class faculties of India who have a work experience of more than 30-40 years. These B schools also invite international faculties to their institute to enable students familiar with global environment.

The executive MBA programme in India include various niche specializations that are being available to students for study. Since students of the executive MBA programme are the ones who are more or less going to remain in the same industry they worked, it is best for B-schools to offer different specializations that cater to their specific industry.

yes i agree it is making pg in diploma more accessable to the working genre of candidates. With the current limitation of our indian education system and social responsibilities it was due time when executive education came into play. Though i still feel that it needs more time before it really is on the line of executive and not just cramping the usual PGDBM/MBA curriculum in one year

An executive MBA is usually a one year full time MBA or a three year part time MBA that is specially designed for executives, mid level managers and entrepreneurs. However there are options to do it part time, online or even through the distance learning mode. The online and the distance learning programs also give you the option of stretching it over a longer period of time which provides flexibility to the candidates.

Executive MBA is becoming popular among young dynamic professionals who want to add up some extra point to their CVs as well as career. But doing the course from any management institute will not do. I think if you really want to explore the unexplored in the world of business or commerce, then I would always recommend people to try any of the IIMs.
